21 Days Until Move In Day: Songs I've Been Listening To

I'll be the first to admit, I'm scared. I don't know what college is going to be like. I've never been on my own before. I've never had a roommate. I've never ate cafeteria food. But hey, I'm willing to give it a shot.
Here are some of the songs I've been listening to lately:

22 Days Until Move In Day: L.L. Bean Unboxing + Backpack Details

Hey everyone!
Welcome back to my personal blog. I'm keeping things real casual on this blog. I thought I would post everyday (or almost everyday) to show you how I'm getting ready for move-in day. Hopefully it works out!
I apologize for the mess. All of my college stuff has accumulated to this corner in my house.

Yesterday, I received my backpack in the mail. I ordered this backpack from L.L. Bean (and yes, I got it monogrammed. I couldn't resist!)
I really like this backpack because it has a laptop compartment and a bunch of other compartments to keep organized.

I also through on a hand sanitizer. College = germs galore. Or, so I've been told. I thought this would be a nice addition to my backpack. Plus, it smells amazing!

I also decided to put together an emergency kit. I put these together every year. Feminine products are a must, along with tylenol, hair clips, and lip balm.

So far, that's what I have in my backpack. I'll probably add some things to it wit…

Life Lately | 7.28.17 + August Goals

Welcome back to my personal blog!

I've been absent from this blog for quite some time. I've been up to all sorts of things since we last spoke. Blogging, collaborating with companies, dorm room shopping, and just overall prepping for college.

Blogging

I am so happy with where my blog is going. I've been blogging three times a week consistently. However, when the school year starts, I'm going to knock it back down to twice a week. I'm currently working on my editorial calendar. I have some fun posts planned including a dorm room tour!

Dorm Room Shopping

I'm just about finished shopping for my dorm room. I actually posted two dorm room hauls. I probably have enough "stuff" to do a part three, but I've decided to hold off until my dorm room tour. I picked up a few more storage pieces. And I'm considering picking up one of those husband pillows. I just can't find a cute, navy/hot pink one. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

What I've Been Up To | July 2017

Hi everyone!

How have y'all been? It's been awhile since I last composed on this blog. I've been so caught up with my main blog that I've almost forgotten about this blog.

In this casual blog post, I thought I'd tell y'all what I've been up to:

I celebrated July 4th with my boyfriend.

We went to see fireworks at a local park. Really fun!

I've been catching up on all of my blog to dos.

I've been composing some fun posts on my main blog-- wish lists and college posts!

Lots and lots of back to school shopping.

We went to the Apple Store, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Target for all of my school stuff. A haul is coming soon!

Swimming!

Every now and then I go to my boyfriend's house since he has a pool. We've been going for evening swims. I should totally take my camera next time to take cute pics!

That's pretty much it!

I just wanted to post a quick little update. Eventually, I'll get more consistent with this blog.

Thanks for reading!

Prepping For Prom

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my personal blog! Today I have a very informal post for y'all. My prom is right around the corner: May 19th. So, the other day, I went to Sephora and did a makeup trial.

Overall, it was a really cool experience. The session taught me a lot about skincare and how to prep my skin for makeup. The makeup artist also taught me some contouring tricks.

Please excuse my crazy hair, but this is the finished makeup look:

I didn't buy most of the products the makeup artist used on my face, mostly because they were extremely expensive. The highlighter alone was $50. (But, look at that GLOW!)
I bought a cucumber facial cleanser($35) and a highlighter from Tarte ($30). I also got a few freebies as well, including a Laura Mercier powder, a moisturizer, and a hydration mask.
Later on, we went to Ulta where I picked up some primer. I love Benefit's POREfessional primer.
Within the next couple of weeks I'm going to pick up a new foundation/concealer and an …
